Join WildEarth Guardians and Southwest Environmental Center for a happy hour to learn about what’s ahead for water and wildlife in 2020.
On the waterfront:
WildEarth Guardians’ Living Rio Campaign serves to give the Rio Grande/Rio Bravo a right to its own water and freedom to flow so it can sustain the ecological foundation of the region and many generations to come. SWEC has been a leading advocate for restoring the river in southern NM to ecological health for more than 20 years.
On the wildlife front:
WildEarth Guardians and our allies in the Trap Free New Mexico coalition will continue our work to end dangerous, cruel, and indiscriminate trapping on public lands. We are also working with the Southwest Environmental Center to reign in “Wildlife Service’s” war on wildlife in Dona Ana County. SWEC is spearheading an exciting effort to extend legal protections for all wildlife in New Mexico, and transform our state wildlife agency into a champion for biodiversity.
Enjoy a beverage and engage in the critical work to support wildlife and water in the state in 2020.
